5 Benefits of Combining Chiropractic with Massage Therapy

Chiropractors LOVE working with massage therapists for a ton of reasons, but my experience has shown that patients who dedicate time once per month for an adjustment and a massage have exceptional, long term results when it comes to pain control, range of motion, and overall health.

Chiropractors use the bones as levers in order to adjust joints while delivering data to your nervous system about range of motion and much more. Massage therapists use various techniques to help treat the soft tissue surrounding the joints we work with. This in most cases not only makes our jobs easier, it helps to sustain the increased range of motion for longer periods of time. After years of testing the nervous system, we know for a fact that movement in general blocks pain signals to the brain, and that the more range of motion you have the better for your overall health and wellbeing.

5 Benefits of Combining Chiropractic and Massage:

The biggest pushback that I get in terms of doing both Chiropractic and massage is cost. You aren’t wrong there, however, consider the cost of time, medication, procedures like shots, surgeries, and even costs associated with quality of
life.

Expert tip! There are different kinds of massage so it is crucial that you talk with your Chiropractor or Massage Therapist about which kind may be best for you. Some people like to have a "spa -like" experience which can feel like an extra, unnecessary expense. There are actually more therapeutic and even orthopedic massage techniques that are designed specifically to work with your Chiropractor's course of care to aid in the treatment and healing of specific conditions.
