Meet Dr. Leanne Tressler-Hess
Headaches followed her for years, until her brother, who was attending chiropractic school, began practicing adjustments on her during visits home. The headaches became less severe and less frequent, planting the seed for her own career.
Later, while Dr. Leanne was in chiropractic school, a car accident left her entire back in spasm. She couldn’t walk, dress, shower, or care for herself. Student chiropractors and professors at her school helped her get back to functioning quickly, giving her firsthand insight into what it feels like to seek care when pain disrupts everyday life.

Her Path to Chiropractic
Dr. Leanne earned her Bachelor’s in Public Health from Slippery Rock University. She later attended New York Chiropractic College, now known as Northeast College of Health Sciences, in upstate New York, where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic.
What Drives Her Every Day
For Dr. Leanne, the most fulfilling part of her work is getting to help people. Seeing someone come in struggling with pain and leave feeling happier and more comfortable is what motivates her to keep doing what she loves.
The small wins are what drive me—when a patient tells me they were able to pick up their grandchild with no back pain, or they placed in the top three for their sport. Being able to help people achieve their goals in life is what keeps me doing what I’m doing.”
Life Outside the Practice
Outside of work, Dr. Leanne enjoys time with her husband, son, and two dogs. She and her husband love motorcycle rides and sightseeing in new places. She also enjoys adding meaningful pieces to her tattoo collection, with each one telling part of her story.
During the fall and winter, you may also find her at Hershey Cubs hockey games, caring for the players as their team chiropractor.
