New Patients at Hershey Family Chiropractic
A Calm, Caring Start
Reaching out for care can feel like a big step, especially when pain or discomfort has started changing the way you live your everyday life. At Hershey Family Chiropractic, we want your first visit to feel simple, personal, and unhurried.
Getting Ready for Your Visit
Once you schedule your appointment, we’ll send your paperwork so you can complete it ahead of time. On the day of your visit, wear something comfortable that you can move in easily.
We take full-spine digital X-rays in-house during your first visit, so it’s also a good idea to limit jewelry and other metal accessories. These images give your doctor additional information to consider alongside your consultation and exam when determining the right approach for you.
What Happens During Your First Visit
We block off about an hour for your first appointment, giving us plenty of time to get to know you and understand what’s bringing you in.
After a warm welcome, we’ll show you around the office so you know where everything is. You’ll then meet with your doctor for a thorough consultation and exam before we take your digital X-rays.
While your doctor reviews your exam and X-ray findings, you’ll have a few minutes to relax. We’ll then sit down with you that same day to explain what we’ve found, answer your questions, and discuss our recommendations. Once you’ve reviewed everything together, your first adjustment can take place that same day.
If ongoing care is recommended, we’ll also walk you through your care plan so you understand what we’re recommending and why.
Honest Conversations About Cost
We believe you deserve to understand the financial side of your care before moving forward. After your doctor explains their recommendations, our office manager will review the cost of care and available payment options with you before your adjustment.
Hershey Family Chiropractic is fully out-of-network with insurance and does not participate with Medicare or Medicaid. We do accept assignment for auto accident and workers’ compensation cases. We also provide superbills and can help submit out-of-network claims on your behalf, or you can submit them yourself.
For added flexibility, we accept HSA, FSA, CareCredit, and all major credit cards. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, please talk with us. We have options available to help make care more accessible when finances are difficult.
Book Your Appointment
Your first visit is about more than finding out what’s going on. It’s a chance to ask questions, understand your options, and start working toward the activities and everyday moments you want to enjoy again.
